Infant Class
Caring for your babies is very important to our staff and one of the first goals is to get to know every child at our daycare in Coral Gables, and their original personalities. Babies are unique and special, and they are often at different developmental levels when they start with us. Some babies adapt quickly and some take time to adjust to the new experience of childcare. Babies usually start out bonding with one particular caregiver and then gradually, as they become more comfortable and secure, adapt to others.
Another goal of the Infant Groups is to provide for the basic needs of each baby in our care. This includes nurturing, feeding, sleeping, changing and playing. In addition, the staff spends time with each baby helping them to reach developmental milestones.
During the first year infant progress from bottle to Sippy cups, from infant seats to feeding chairs and from cribs to cots. Enrichment activities are planned on a weekly basis, and all children in the room participate in these activities as soon as they are old enough to do so.
Child Care
1 – 4 yrs old

Our goal is to promote each child’s progress in all developmental areas by identifying and working with his/her unique strengths, interests, needs, and learning style. Our aim is to stimulate each child linguistically, physically, creatively, socially, cognitively, and academically in a loving and nurturing way.
We know that when children receive warm and responsive care, both at home and in school, their future development and ability to learn are greatly affected. It is very important to us that every single child at our school feels loved and appreciated.

Preschool
4 – 5 yrs old
At our preschool in Coral Gables, we have created a project based, integrated curriculum. Our school-wide curriculum is comprised of ten monthly units. Each monthly unit is divided into four subtopics in which the subject matter is presented to the children. Every month children engage in creating, a project, based on the unit topic and the classroom educational goals. At the end of the month, the project is exhibited. At ICS Coral Gables, we believe that children learn best through hands-on activities and therefore place a great deal of emphasis on creating meaningful experiences.
The ICS Coral Gables program is based on the philosophy that children learn best in a fun and playful environment which reflects the belief that children need a balance between child-initiated and teacher-facilitated activities daily.
Kindergarten
5 – 6 yrs old
At ICS Coral Gables, our guiding principles are providing high-quality education and focusing on family values such as love, respect, and integrity. Our goal is to provide our students with a life-long love of learning by creating a child lead, project-based integrated curriculum.
We also believe in focusing on the whole child. As such we provide a language rich program which includes instruction in English and Spanish as well as a special areas program which includes our organic garden, cooking classes, arts and crafts, music and singing, physical education, creative movement, and social studies. We take pride in offering students healthy, all natural organic meals and strive to teach our students about sustaining our environment.
ICS Coral Gables addresses the many phases in a child’s development. Opportunities will be provided so that your child will grow socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. We aim to develop in every child a positive self-image and high self-esteem.
Brightwheel App
The App will be our main communication source. This will keep you informed about your child daily routine – sleeping, feeding, changing diapers. Also, we will send pictures and videos as well as important information about the class and school.
